DVLA CONTRACT
You may be aware that the DVLA sight test contract is up for tender now. In 2019, AIO constructed a bid with Smart Employee Eyecare (SEE) which did not win on a technicality.
We are once again constructing a bid working with SEE and wish to extend an invitation to you to be part of our bid. In 2019 over 400 independent practices signed up and we are targeting a similar number this year. We believe that we have a great chance of success this time around as the technicality has been resolved.
As you will imagine, there is a lot of work (and cost) involved in bringing a bid together, and the AIO Council has made the decision this year that only members can be part of the bid.
The cost of membership is not expensive at £100 per annum and there are many other benefits (please see here). In addition there will be a substantial discount (equivalent to the cost of one years membership) on the cost of this year’s Annual AIO Conference at Chesford Grange on 5th and 6th October. There is great value in this as there will be over 30 CPD points available in what is the last year of the CPD cycle.
